This print is the reason the Glen Scrimshaw moved to Duck Lake. He submitted a bid to the Duck Lake Murals to create a mural for them in 1991. As a result of creating the Mural Glen ended up moving his Gallery to Duck Lake from La Ronge.
The Glen Scrimshaw Gallery recently located a few of these prints while cleaning up some old boxes. Therefore we have a few for sale.
"Crossing the Saskatchewan" is the view of a Little First Nation Child hiding on the shoreline watching this pale skinned person navigate their funny shaped boat across the river. On the far side of the river you can see other people getting ready to turn their Red River Carts into small floatation devices to cross the river.
