Have you ever driven down a grid road in "Dairy Farm" country and wondered just how the milk gets transported .? Or have you even thought about where it goes.....? I, like most people had not given it a second thought until I met with an Agrifoods Rep and we started discussing a "Project!"

Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd. is a federal cooperative owned by dairy producers in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan and was previously known as Dairyland Coperative Ltd. The following is their mission statement directly off their website @ www.agrifoods.ca.

"To be the leading, innovative provider of premium quality dairy and food products and services, returning value to our members and to be recognized as a successful, profitable and environmentally responsible cooperative!"

Agrifoods Drivers who retire after 25 years or more of service and retiring Board of Directors will get a limited edition Giclee canvas reproduction which has been enlarged from the original painting. (Glen Scrimshaw's work is "so insanely" detailed that it can be enlarged without sacrificing quality. In fact when Glen's work is enlarged the viewer often sees some of the tiny hidden objects much more easily, that Glen is known for hiding in his paintings.)

Glen's take on the painting.......

An Agrifoods truck and driver travel towards two more dairy farms which will fill the storage trailer that he is pulling. It is early evening on this fall day and the harvest moon is already well above the horizon. The sun is just setting, which is reflected on the side of the stainless steel storage trailer. The driver is taken aback by the beauty of this scene. Little does he know it is soon to be a painting that he might own a reproduction of one day?
